Why I Love Sarah Palin

Ever since the 2008 Presidential Election has started the so-called “WOW” factor has seemed to wear off with every mistruth spoken by both candidates and every can of butch wax used in Joe Biden’s hair. It had seemed as though the so-called “politics of change” were a total farce and have proven to be little more than partisan rhetoric. With every passing day the campaign has gotten more and more dirty, to the point where this “new kind of politics” has only lead to the dirtiest campaign cycle since the infamous Andrew Jackson-John Quincy Adams election. Though in my opinion most of the negativity and malice have come from the Obama campaign, the McCain campaign has not been without its share of vile attacks, however the McCain camp had seemed to be getting more and more stagnant with it all coming to a head with the house fiasco.
Now what was a self-proclaimed Ron Paul supporter to do; the choices fro president were a liberal democrat who is threatening to come strolling onto Pennsylvania Avenue bring a Socialist regime with him, and an aging Maverick who’s lackluster campaign was turning off even the most stanch conservatives. In all reality instead of watching the recurring rhetoric of both candidates, I would rather be watching Sport Fishing with Sonny Jerguson.
Fortunately that all changed on August 29th, 2008 when Senator John McCain of Arizona picked Governor Sarah Palin from the great state of Alaska as his running mate for Vice-President of the United States of America. Not many people outside of Wasilla may have ever heard of Governor Palin and of course the liberal media’s first response to the announcement was to attack her personally, with crude remarks about everything from her being from a small town to the audacious attacks on her four month old child who has down’s syndrome. They made excuses about why she is not right for America, but the real reason they hate her is the same reason why I love the first term Governor from Alaska. Because finally there is a real conservative on the ticket who energizes the base and they are terrified of her. I love Sarah Palin because she embodies everything that used to be right about the Republican party and everything that still could be right about it today. She is a throwback to the glory days of Ronald Reagan, Barry Goldwater, and Ike Eisenhower, with small government, low taxes, and traditional Christian values. I also love Sarah Palin because she is left wing feminists like Gloria Steinem’s worst nightmare. In their life the so-called “feminists” never thought that there cause would yield anyone like Sarah Palin. A strong, pro-life, married woman, who is able to balance a career in politics with being mother of five. She is being singled out by supposed pro-women groups like the National Organization of Women, because she is not an angry woman like Hillary Clinton. So that is why I love Sarah Palin, not because of her Beauty Queen Good looks, but because of her both socially and morally conservative ideals that have made her into today’s Ronald Reagan. That is why I love her and I hope you do too.

You're absolutely right! The reason the left can't stand Palin is because she embodies everything us Reaganauts stand for. I also have found it amusing to see feminists attack Gov. Palin now, as if the feminist movement is more concerned with the advancement of women's rights and equality than putting anyone with a vagina in the White House. But us GOP men know what's really going on with feminism these days.

I outline many of the reasons why I support Palin in my blog, but don't be afraid to tout McCain's accomplishments. For instance, I already praised Palin for being fiscally conservative as governor because she cut funding for special needs schools, like the Alaskan School for the deaf. In the same vein, many analysts say that in order for McCain to make his health care plan break even he will have to gut Medicare and Medicaid to the tune of $1.3 trillion over the course of 10 years! As a staunch believer of small government, I think it's important that excess funding directed at the destitute be kept to a minimum if it must exist at all.

Plus, anyone who believes that the Bush economic policy hasn't been a failure is alright in my book!
